Our Staff

Dr. Esse has practiced in the Lowcountry for 12 years, with extensive experience and expertise in pediatric and educational audiology, adult and geriatric audiology, tinnitus evaluation, industrial audiology, and hearing aid evaluations, fitting and service. She recently became the first audiologist in South Carolina to become certified to fit Lyric extended-wear hearing aids.

Dr. Esse received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Audiology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Esse originally hails from Canada (Barrie, Ontario), but now calls Charleston home. She lives on Daniel Island with her husband and two children. In her free time, Dr. Esse enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her family.

Pilar joined Daniel Island Hearing Center in August 2010. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in marketing. Before joining DIHC she worked locally in sales and marketing. She lives in Wando with her husband, two children and three dogs.

Heidi Clower received her degrees from Ohio State University and UNC-Chapel Hill. She has extensive experience in both pediatric and adult hearing care. Heidi lives in Summerville with her husband and is a busy mother of four.
